We hope all of your new years are off to a good start. As we get ready for summer, please continue to pray for us as we recruit campers, assemble a staff, and prepare ourselves spiritually for the journey ahead.

Before camp happens, though, we have some unfinished business to attend to. We have a special project that is scheduled to be completed in the middle of May. Because of our current financial status, we are trying to pay for this project outside of our normal operating budget.

The project’s total is $20,000, which sounds intimidating when you consider that not one nickel of our current income or pledged gifts will go toward it.

The Lord, as always, provides. An anonymous donor has challenged us with a matching $10,000 gift. This person will match any amount up to $10,000 that we raise until May 15th. The only stipulation is that the funds have to be new to us.

New funds can come from people who have never given before or who didn’t give in 2007. New funds can also be money given to camp that exceeds what a donor gave the year before. Either way, you’ll help us in our goal to raise the needed dollars.

Please remember our situation in the next couple of months when you give. Whether you can give or not at this time, please pray for us that we can cover the costs of this special project. God gives us confidence that our needs will be met. We hope you can be a part of this work.
