Counselor Handbook
Dear Parents,
We are always trying to make Camp Wyldewood a safe place for our youth. I have three sons myself--two of which are old enough to benefit from the programs at Wyldewood. All of my boys will be campers at Wyldewood someday and, hopefully, counselors as well. I know from the exprience of managing a camp and being a father that putting your child into someone else's care forces an unnatural leap of faith.
We at Wyldewood, however, try to give all you full confidence that we provide the safest environment possible for your children. All of our counselors undergo background checks and a one-week training program. Prior to accepting a position with us, they must read our rules and expectations handbook, sign an agreement that they've read the rules, and then cover the handbook at length during the training week.
Attached you'll find the expectations we hold our counselors to. If you have any questions about a specific rule, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss.
Sincerely,
Robert Powell Director
